Stepping Stone English Boarding School bags the DCA Cup Cricket Tournament

Dhangadhi: Stepping Stone English Boarding School has won the title of Dipendra Swar Memorial DCA Cup Cricket Tournament. They defeated Little Flower School by 10 runs in the finals held on Wednesday and won the championship.

After winning the toss, Stepping, who batted first, scored 109 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Kiran Dhami scored a whopping 34 runs for Stepping. He hit 7 fours in 23 balls.

Similarly, Abhishek Khadka scored 23 runs in 26 balls. He hit one four and one six. Apart from that, Samir Kunwar scored 10 runs in 5 balls with 2 fours.

On the bowling side, Little Flower's Kushal Dhami took 3 wickets and Aryan Dhanpali and Kiran Dhami took 2 wickets each.

In response, Little Flower could score only 99 runs after losing 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Ashish Sahu scored 29 runs, Subodh Tiwari scored 13 runs and Aris Bohra scored 12 runs. Stepping's Anurag Singh took 3 wickets and Sachin Bhatta took 2 wickets.

Stepping, the winner of the competition, received 50,000 in cash, while the runner-up, Little Flower, received 30,000. Kushal Dhami of Stepping was chosen as the best player of the competition. He has received a 4 months scholarship by DCA along with 5000 cash.

Similarly, Anurag Singh of Little Flower was selected as the best batter. He received 3000 cash and 3 a months scholarship. The best bowler was Sachin Bhatta of Little Flower. He also received 3 thousand cash and a 3 months scholarship.

Little Flower's Roshan Rawal also received the emerging player award along with a pair of cricket shoes.
