A convenience store fined for displaying expired food items in Dhangadhi

Dhangadhi: A food supplier in Dhangadhi has been fined Rs 10,000.

Yesterday, Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city fined Rs 10,000 to 'Ram Brothers and Supplies' for storing expired food items.

According to the sub-metropolitan municipality, the fine was imposed after it was found that expired food and beverages were stored by the supplier.

Narayan Prasad Sharma, Head of the Consumer Protection Branch of the Sub-Metropolitan, said that the sub-metropolitan has warned the businessmen to not sell or store food items beyond their expiry date.
