A man arrested for killing his mother in Kailali

Dhangadhi: A 40-year-old Shriram Tharu of Lamkichuha Municipality Ward No. 6 of the district has been arrested for killing his mother. According to the Kailali police, Shriram Tharu killed his mother by hitting her with an axe.

Kailali police said that he killed his 71-year-old mother Lagnidevi Tharuni with an axe on Tuesday night. Lagnidevi Tharuni was taken to Lalrant Hospital in Lamki for treatment after she sustained serious injuries from the axe attack. Lagnidevi was brought to Dhangadhi after treatment was not possible. She died at Navjeevan Hospital in Dhangadhi.

The Area Police Office Lamki have arrested Tharu. He was arrested from the community forest on Tuesday morning. It has been revealed that Sriram had spent five years in prison in a murder case. He attacked his mother after she refused to give him her old age allowance.
