A father-in-law arrested for raping his daughter-in-law

Baitadi: A man has been arrested for raping his daughter-in-law. A woman of Baitadi's Pancheshwar Rural Municipality lodged an application at the Baitadi District Police Office on Wednesday, saying that her father-in-law forced himself upon her. 

Police Inspector Yogesh Khatri, Information Officer of District Police Office, Baitadi, said that a man who was the woman's father-in-law was arrested on the basis of the same application. After the victim filed a complaint saying that her 52-year-old father-in-law forced himself upon his 21-year-old daughter-in-law, the police arrested him from Seri in the district on Thursday and started a case of rape.

Similarly, a woman of Purchoudi Municipality had also lodged a complaint with the police saying that she was raped.

It is mentioned in the complaint that she was pregnant after the rape and the accused forced her to have an abortion. On Fagun 24, the woman from Puchaudi filed a case of attempted rape. But the accused is absconding. The police have intensified the search.
