Manmohan Swar elected President of Nepal Press Union Sudurpaschim Province
Dhangadhi: Manmohan Swar has been elected unopposed as the President of Nepal Press Union Sudurpaschim Province. Pursuant to Section 14, Sub-Section (T) of Chapter 4 of the Press Union Statute 2048 (Quick Amendment 2079), Swar was elected unopposed as the Chairman of the first session of the Sudurpaschim Province Committee.
On the open side of the committee, Tekendra Deuba, women's vice president Gita Kunwar, inclusive vice president Jagat Khadka, general secretary Harish Bhatta, open secretary Rajendra Bahadur Rokaya, women's secretary Bandhana Bam, inclusive secretary Bhim Bahadur Chaudhary and treasurer Bir Bahadur Gadal were elected unopposed.
Similarly, Tek Bahadur Kunwar, Deepak Bhandari, Hark Bahadur Bista, Keshav Dutt Bhatta and Chandra Prasad Khanal were elected as open members respectively. Kumari Lakshmi Bam, Saraswati Bhat, Karuna Joshi and Dalikumari Pandey have been elected as women members respectively.
Lakshman BK was elected as a Dalit member, Binita Chaudhary, Premkumar Chaudhary as a tribal member and Ramdas Rana, Sagar Kusmi as a Madhesi member.
Similarly, Dhan Bahadur Bohra and Padam Bhat from the village were elected unopposed as members of the disabled, minority and sexual groups. Krita Bahadur Bista was elected as coordinator and Navraj Paneru and Gagan Aydi were elected unopposed as members of the accounting committee.
