Bategadha rural municipality of Chure Phedi to be illuminated via electricity for the first time

Dhangadhi – An electricity connection has been installed in Bategadha village of Chure Phedi in Kailali. Chure Rural Municipality Ward No. 4 Bategadha has received electricity for the first time. Surya Narayan Mandal, Head of Nepal Electricity Authority, Dhangadhi Distribution Center, said that electricity connection along with lights was installed at a cost of 16 million in Bategadha, where there are 55 households.

Citizens in that area were using solar for lighting. Shaniwar Rural Municipality Chairman Chakra Bogti inaugurated the program, said Mandal. He said that the goal of the authority is to electrify all the areas of Kailali within two years. According to him, Shaniwar is the 12th transformer under extended electrification. Baluwagad, a village of Chure Phedi under Chure rural municipality, was electrified in 2076.

Similarly, the authority has the plan to extend the electricity line in Jagati, Garbha Darbar of the rural municipality.
