Speaker for the Sudurpaschim Pradesh Assembly to be appointed on Magh 2

Dhangadhi: The appointment of the Speaker of the Sudurpaschim Pradesh Assembly will be held on Magh 2. There is a legal provision to elect the Speaker within 15 days of holding the first meeting of the Provincial Assembly. The first meeting of the Provincial Assembly was called on 18th Paush, Monday. Considering that the election of the speaker should be done by Magh 2.

The parties have not decided who will be their candidate for Speaker. CPN-UML parliamentary party leader Rajendrasinh Rawal said that the party has not decided who will be the Speaker's candidate. The question of who will be the leader of the Sudurpaschim Province government has not been decided yet. The Nepali Congress has not elected the leader of the parliamentary party in the provincial assembly, while CPN UML, Maoist Center, CPN United Socialist Party, and Nagrik Unmikti Party have elected party leaders.

The members of the provincial assembly have said that there is no discussion about the candidature of the speaker. The first meeting of the provincial assembly has been decided by the all-party meeting to be held tomorrow (Monday).
