Ten sportsmen boycott the Sports Council meeting in Sudurpaschim

Dhangadhi: A total of ten members from the Sudurpaschim Sports Council have boycotted the sports council meeting. A majority of members boycotted the 14th meeting held on Tuesday. Councilors Chitraraj Bhatta, Bahadur Singh Odd, Durga Bhandari, Santosh Bik, Jhalak Shah, Sanjita Chaudhary, Prakash Bik, Anil Shrestha, Chetna Bohra, Jeevan Bhatt boycotted the meeting.

A meeting was called in the hall of the provincial health training center at 11 am yesterday. They boycotted the meeting called under the chairmanship of Social Development Minister Govindaraj Bohra.

Chitraraj Bhatta, a member of the council, said that the meeting was boycotted due to poor coordination and implementation of every decision made by the council by not maintaining financial transparency, and not providing information about the various programs of the council.

Another member, Bahadur Singh Odd, said that member secretary Singh did not review the program of the council and voluntarily gave closed training facilities to the players in the ninth national sports selection tournament.

He said that they called the meeting but did not pass a written decision, so the meeting had to be boycotted. However, the office of the Provincial Sports Council has claimed that these allegations are baseless. It is said that those who boycotted the meeting did not participate in the written process. Although the meeting was boycotted for political reasons, it is also reported that the members of the council propagated falsehood outside.
