Locals lock Patan Municipality office demanding investigation into Bista's death

Baitadi: The locals of Patan Municipality of Baitadi have locked the Patan Municipality as a sign of protest. On Wednesday, the office was locked as the locals have been demanding an investigation into the death of teacher Dhan Bahadur Bista.

The struggle committee said that 5 days have passed since Bista was found dead, the municipality has been locked as the truth has not been discovered.

Lila Bista, the coordinator of the committee, said that the local government was not responsible for the incident, so the municipality was locked to put pressure on the government. Bishta, who was found dead in Patan on Saturday, is suspected to have been murdered.

Surnaya Rural Municipality-2 Gwani house teacher Bista Krishna Mavi was teaching in Patan his relatives did not recognize the body and said that it was not a death but a murder.

The CIB team is investigating the incident since Tuesday. So far, 4 teachers and 7 students have been detained and the incident is being investigated.
