A man shot in Attaria, police mobilized to catch the fugitive

Dhangadhi: On Sunday evening, gunfire erupted at Attaria in Kailali. The unknown group fired two bullets and escaped. According to the police, two people who came on an unmarked white-collared Apache motorcycle coming from the east to the west opened fire and fled.

 

The police are yet to arrest those involved in the shooting incident. A shot was fired at 28-year-old Vikash Sunar of Ghodaghodi Municipality-1 Sukkhad, who was running a gold and silver business in Attaria. As the injured goldsmith could not be treated at Padma Hospital in Attaria, he was referred to Maya Metro in Dhangadhi on Sunday evening. The police said that his condition is now out of danger.

 

Province No. 3 02011 P 7350 motorcycle was going east from Attaria when a shot was fired near the armed police office on East Road of Attaria. The police have not yet got any clue about the two men who came on an Apache motorcycle and shot at the goldsmith and absconded. DSP Ved Prakash Joshi, the spokesperson of District Police Office Kailali, said that the police have been mobilized in the area including the incident site.

 

The police have been widely deployed since yesterday evening. But no one involved in the shooting incident has been found yet. A team under the command of Police Inspector Basudev Bhatt of Area Police Office Malakheti and Superintendent of Police Somendrasingh Rathore of District Police Office Kailali has been mobilized for further investigation, but there is no trace of those involved yet.
