Armed Police Force personnel suspected of murdering Maya 

Dhangadhi: Maya Luhar, who was found dead in Baitadi on Wednesday, is said to be a former Madi officer. 21-year-old Luhar of Pancheshwar Rural Municipality-4 Fauli became a police officer in the recently concluded elections.

Luhar, who joined the Madi Police for the Assembly and State Assembly elections, returned home after her service period. On Tuesday, 15-year-old Neha, who is related to Neha Luhar, went to Pancheswar 3 Kulau to get clothes from her house where she found Maya murdered while  Neha returned home with injuries.

Neha is being treated at the Dadeldhura hospital, according to the district police office. Maya's body has been kept at Primary Health Center Patan for post-mortem. The police have started an investigation under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police Prem Bahadur Shahi, Chief of the District Police Office. 

A young man from the Armed Police Force has been suspected of murdering Maya. Janak Bahadur Chand, Ward Chairman of Pancheshwar Rural Municipality-4, said that a few days ago, the armed policeman of Pancheshwar house had taken away Maya's mobile phone. After the incident, the armed policeman is absconding. The police said that it is not possible to say anything as the investigation is ongoing.
