More than 6% votes invalid in Baitadi

Baitadi: More than 6 percent votes have been invalidated in Baitadi. According to the Chief Electoral Officer, 77,460 direct votes were cast for the House of Representatives  out of which 4,962 votes were invalidated. The number of invalid votes is 6.40 percent of the votes cast.

Similarly, 77 thousand 761 votes were cast for proportional side of the House of Representatives and  5 thousand 421 votes were invalidated making 6.97 percent votes invalid.

 77 thousand 423 votes were cast for the Provincial Assembly out of which 5 thousand 55 votes have been invalidated informed the Assistant Election Officer Tirtharaj Acharya.  He said that the number of invalid votes is 6.52 percent.

In comparison to the House of Representatives, less votes have been canceled in the Provincial Assembly. Out of  40 thousand 155 direct votes cast in Provincial  Assembly 1; 2 thousand 13 votes were invalidated. The number of invalid votes is 5 percent of the votes cast. 37 thousand 280 votes were cast in Provincial Assembly 2 and 1 thousand 820 votes were invalidated making 4.88 percent votes invalid.
