Dispute between Chief Administrative Officer and Municipal Chief in Ghodagodhi

Dhangadhi: There has been a dispute in the casual gathering of the chief administrative officer and people's representative of Ghodaghodi Municipality of Kailali. There was a dispute between Chief Administrative Officer Deepak Kumar Acharya and Municipal Chief Khadak Bahadur Rawat at a casual party held in the government quarters.

On Saturday night, city chief Rawat and some ward presidents consumed alcohol at the official residence of Chief Administrative Officer Acharya. Deputy Superintendent of Police Laxman Shahi, head of the area police office, Sukhad, said that it was heard that Acharya took some ward presidents and the mayor to his quarters and had dinner with the mayors who where initially gathered at the Hotel Macha House near the quarter. Although no official information was received about the incident, it was heard that an argument took place after consuming alcohol at the administrative officer's residence.

He said that when the administrative officer Acharya took them to his residence an argument broke out, the chairman of Ward No. 1, Ghanshyam Ojha, kicked the table and broke the table. He said that it was understood that there was no altercation during the dispute. Gulia Chowdhary, deputy mayor of the municipality, said that the dispute arose in an unofficial gathering. She said that the discussion about the incident is ongoing.
