Taralama Tamang retains Kanchanpur-1
Dhangadhi: In Kanchanpur Constituency No. 1, the CPN-UML candidate for the House of Representatives is leading with double votes. Tamang has secured 8068 votes out of 14763 votes of the House of Representatives.
CPN Maoist Center candidate Bina Magar has garnered 4362 votes. Tamang is ahead of Lama by 3706 votes. 925 votes of the House of Representatives have been invalidated.
UML candidate Bir Bahadur Thapa is leading in the State Assembly (1) as well. Thapa got 6636 votes out of 13243 votes of the state assembly. Thapa's competitor, Bandhu Rana of the Nepali Congress, has secured 3,994 votes.
Nepali Congress candidate Diwansingh Bista is leading in the State Assembly (2). He got 3,949 votes in the state assembly 920 were invalided and 11,878 votes were passed, while his rival UML's Pallavaraj Bhatt got 3,623 votes.
