Vote counting starts in Doti
Dhangadhi: Counting of votes has started in Doti. The ballot boxes were transported to the district headquarters from all polling centers on Monday morning. But since the Chief Electoral Officer and the political parties could not agree on the counting of votes, the counting started late. The counting of votes at the polling station of Badikedar rural municipality ward number 4 has started.
According to Karunakar Pant, head of District Election Office Doti, only 64 thousand 84 votes have been cast in the district out of 124 thousand 870. There are 6 people in the field for the member of the House of Representatives in the district. Gauri Kumari Oli of UML, Ank Bahadur Khadka of RPP, Prem Bahadur Ale of United Samajwadi Party, Keshav Balayar of National Independent Party are candidates. In the district, Narendra Bahadur Khadka and Raj Prasad Joshi have filed independent candidatures as members of the House of Representatives.
