Counting of votes will start from 4 pm today in Baitadi

Baitadi: An all-party meeting has been held in Baitadi for the counting of votes for the state and House of Representatives elections 2079 BS. According to Chief Electoral Officer Jayanand Paneru, the counting of votes has started from 4 pm today. After the elections were held on Sunday, the collection of ballot boxes was completed in the headquarters only this morning. It is said that the counting of votes will take place on the second floor of the newly constructed building of the district hospital located at the headquarters.

It is said that the direct counting of votes in the House of Representatives and the State Assembly will begin first, and then the counting of proportional votes will take place. In the elections held on Sunday, 52.22 percent of the total voters cast their votes in Baitadi. Out of 150 thousand 156 voters, only 78 thousand 416 votes were cast.
