Polling stations ready in Doti for parliamentary election
Dhangadhi: The Chief Electoral Office has informed Dineshkhabar that preparations for tomorrow's parliamentary elections in Doti have reached the final stage. According to the office, the staff and election materials have reached all 178 polling stations.
A team of employees has reached all the polling stations," Chief Electoral Officer and District Judge Shivlal Pandey said, "They have started the work related to the election. Today, the construction of the polling station has reached its final stage." Chief Electoral Officer Pandey said that during the construction of the polling station, polling officers have been instructed to build it in such a way that it is easy for disabled people and the voters to relax.
There are 177 polling stations in the Doti district. A temporary polling station has been set up in the prison so that inmates and government employees can vote too. According to Chief Electoral Officer Pandey, there are around 300 temporary voters in the temporary polling stations.
He said arrangements have been made for the Nepali Army, Armed Police, and government employees in the Dipayal area to vote at the polling station in Dipayal Rajpur. Chief District Officer Kalpana Shrestha said that 2,472 security personnel from all three security agencies have been mobilized for the election.
Shrestha urged the voters to vote with confidence as strict security arrangements have been made for the election. There are 124,870 voters in the Doti district, 65 thousand 735 women and 59 thousand 135 men.
