Earthquake in Bajura: 14 houses destroyed
Dhangadhi: The roofs of 14 houses in Bajura have completely collapsed due to the earthquake that occurred on Wednesday. Due to the 6.6 magnitude earthquake centered in Khaptad National Park, 14 houses including Khaptad Chededah Rural Municipality, Budhiganga, Municipality of Bajura, which are adjacent to Khaptad National Park, were completely destroyed.
Prithvi Bam, Khadak Thapa, Bikram Thapa, Parudevi Rawal, Prem Rawal, Raj Bahadur Rawal, Mandevi Rawal, Sher Bahadur Rawal, Bikram Rawal, Hasta Rokaya, Budhiga Municipality-8, Motawada, Khagendra Khadka, Tulsi Devi Damai, Himali Rural Municipality-5, Nandapata District Police Office Bajura informed that the house of Jayarup Karki was destroyed.
Similarly, Siddheshwari Residential Basic School in Budhi Nanda-7 and Bajura Campus in Badimalika Municipality-8 were also damaged, said Information Officer of District Police Office Bajura, Gindra Bahadur Bogti. He said that although there are no casualties or human casualties in Bajura due to the earthquake, there has been a great deal of physical damage.
