423 people infected with dengue in three months in Kailali

Dhangadhi: 423 people have contracted dengue in Kailali in three months. During the rainy season in the district, dengue infection has been observed in a high number of people.

According to the Health Office, Kailali, the highest number of people have been infected with dengue in Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city. 141 dengue patients have reached Dhangadhi so far.

113 people were infected with dengue in Lamki Chuha municipality of the district. Similarly, 72 people in Bardagoria rural municipality and 40 people in Tikapur municipality have been infected with dengue, said Tejvikram Shahi, information officer of health office Kailali.

28 people have been infected in Godavari municipality, seven in Gouriganga and five in Bhajani municipality. Similarly, in Joshipur Rural Municipality, four each in Ghodaghodi Municipality and Janaki Rural Municipality, and three people in Mohanyal Rural Municipality have been infected with dengue. Till the last day of October, 423 people have been infected in Kailali.

No dengue patients have been found in Kailari and Chure Rural Municipality of the district so far. Now, as the cold is increasing, the number of new dengue cases is decreasing. A total of 19 new patients have been added after Dashain. As of Dashain, the number of dengue infected was 404.
