24 houses were destroyed in Bajura
Dhangadhi: 24 houses in five villages of Jagannath rural municipality ward no-2 of Bajura district have been completely destroyed. The houses of 24 families from Kandakot, Luma, Huni, Baskena and Shera villages of Jagannath Rural Municipality Ward No-2 were destroyed by the landslide caused by incessant rain.
The affected families have a problem to live after the landslide destroyed the houses. Gorkhe Sarki of Ward No-2 of Jaganath Rural Municipality said that he is now living in the open after their house collapsed due to continuous rains from October 5th to 11th (Ashoj 19th to 25th).
They also said that there is a problem with food and clothing. On the other hand, Chief District Officer of District Administration Office, Bajura, Prakash Chandra Adhikari said that the money has been deposited in the account for the construction of most of the houses of Jaganath Rural Municipality.
He said that the government is giving Rs. 500,000 to a family for building a house.
