Today is the third day of Navratri: Goddess Chandraghanta is worshipped

Dhangadhi: On the third day of Navratri, the Dasain Ghar or Pooja Kotha, the third of the nine Durgas, is being ritually worshiped.

There is a tradition of worshiping 9 forms of Navadurga along with Ghatasthapana. On the nine days of Navratri, Shailputri is worshiped on the first day, Brahmacharini on the second day, Chandraghanta on the third day, Kushmanda on the fourth day, Skandamata on the fifth day, Katyayani on the sixth day, Kalaratri on the seventh day, Mahagauri on the eighth day and Siddhidatri on the ninth day. On the third day of Dashain, devotees thronged Navadurga temples and Shaktipeeths across the country.
