Most of the settlements of Budhiganga and Triveni in Bajura are at risk of landslides

Bajura: Most of the settlements in Budhiganga and Triveni Municipalities of Bajura are very vulnerable to floods. Budhiganga municipality ward no. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and Triveni municipality ward no. Most of the settlements of 8 and 9 are at risk of floods.

Padam BK of Bajedhi of Budhiganga Municipality Ward No. 2 said, "For a long time, the Guivan landslide has been cutting the land from below the village and sealing it with landslides from above, and now Bajedhi, Nimani, Basali and other settlements are at risk."

BK said that last year, a big landslide that fell from above Guiwan covered all the land near the village and now that the flood has started to wash away the area, the locals are panicking. Kale Nepali from Budhiganga Municipality-3 Basali said, "After the flood in the Budhiganga river washed away all the surrounding areas, he said that he had to spend the rainy night wondering when the village would be washed away by the Budhiganga."
