Girl dies of snakebite in Kanchanpur

Kanchanpur: One person died due to snake bite in Kanchanpur, while the mother was seriously injured. 18-year-old Pushpa Damai of Daiji, Bedkot Municipality-10 of the district died on Monday.

According to District Police Office Kanchanpur Deputy Superintendent of Police Chakra Bahadur Shah, Pushpa was found unconscious while sleeping at home and died while her relatives were taking her to the hospital for treatment.

The body has been kept at Mahakali Hospital Mahendranagar for autopsy. The deceased's mother, Manju Devi Damai, 48, was also bitten on the neck by a snake while she was sleeping on the morning of September 3 (Bhadra 18).
