A drain constructed in B.S. 2030 on the south side of Parkmode at Dhangadhi cleaned after 49 years

Dhangadhi: The drain constructed in the year 2030 on the south side of Parkmode at Dhangadhi in Kailali has been cleaned after 49 years. In the year 2030, on the initiative of the then Commissioner, a drain with culvert was constructed on the main road of Dhangadhi with the help of road technicians working on Bhimdatta Highway.

Local Lal Bahadur Bisht said that the drain made of Russian cement is about 6 feet deep. "The drain was constructed years ago for the water coming from Parkmode, water coming from Lakshminarayan Chowk, and the water coming from the east of the main road to be drained out.

This is the first time that the municipality is cleaning the drain after 49 years.," he said. “Many people did not even know that there existed a drain in Parkmode,” he added. Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan authorities took two days including Wednesday and Thursday to clean the drain at night. Bista said that when the drain slab was opened for cleaning, the entire drain was buried.

It is believed that the problem of water stagnation on the main road of the Park Mode area will be solved after the sub-metropolitan municipality cleans the drains.
