11,430 new voters added in Kailali

Dhangadhi: During the local elections, the number of voters in Kailali was 525 thousand 125. 11,430 new voters have been added to the district since May 13th. One polling station has also been added in the district and three polling stations have been moved.

Prem Bhatt, the Acting Head of the State Election Commission, said that the commission is now preparing for the election to be held on November 4. There are five constituencies in Kailali. Elections will be held for five members of the House of Representatives and 10 members of the Provincial Assembly, he said.

With the announcement of the date of the election by the Government of Nepal, the commission is preparing for the election. From August 9th, registration of names in the voter list, marriage registration, and migration have been stopped. Bhatt said that the Commission has called for the registration of election-oriented parties from Sunday. The election office has started the work of estimating, managing, and updating the data of the old materials.

Bhatt, the Acting Head of the State Election Commission said that the Election Commission is preparing for the election on November 20th by making a work schedule. After adding one polling station, there will be 237 polling stations in Kailali. As there are 30 political parties registered in the district, they will have their candidates. But it has been estimated that the number of candidates will be reduced due to the alliance between the ruling parties.
