8 municipalities of Baitadi are at high risk of landslides

Baitadi: 8 different municipalities of Baitadi are at high risk of landslides. Dasharathchand Municipality, Melauli Municipality, Purchaundi Municipality, Pancheshwar Rural Municipality, Shivnath Rural Municipality, Dogdakedar Rural Municipality and Dilashaini Rural Municipality of the district are at high risk of landslides.

The District Disaster Preparedness and Response Plan prepared by the District Disaster Management Committee has shown that 8 local levels are at high risk of landslides. Surabaya rural municipality and Patan municipality of the district are at moderate risk of landslides.

The district administration office has emphasized taking necessary measures to avoid possible accidents as disasters can happen during rainy the season.
