More than 3800 vehicles violating traffic rules in Baitadi

Baitadi: Baitadi traffic police have taken action against more than 3800 vehicles in Baitadi. In the fiscal year 2078/79, District Traffic Police Office Baitadi took action against 3,826 vehicles violating traffic rules.

According to Ram Singh Bhandari, Head of District Traffic Police Office, Baitadi, 415 trucks/tankers, 64 buses, 2,093 jeep cars and vans have been arrested for violating traffic rules. Similarly, 302 tractors, 772 motor cycles and 140 other vehicles were taken into action, said Bhandari, head of traffic.

Driving a vehicle without a driver's license, Not wearing seat belt and helmet, driving intoxicated, carrying more passengers than the vehicle's capacity, including speeding, is said that the vehicles violating these traffic rules set by the government of Nepal, have been prosecuted.

According to the District Traffic Police Office, Baitadi, fines amounting to 21 lakh 18 thousand were collected from the vehicles involved in these actions.
