A woman got widow's allowance after getting married for the second time in Dhangadhi

Dhangadhi: In Dhangadhi, it has been revealed that a woman is getting a widow's allowance even after getting married for the second time. It has been revealed that Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan ward number 6 is giving a widow's allowance to Dashni Devi Chaudhury who got married for the second time.

Ward President Bhagiram Chaudhary decided to provide her with the social security allowance that a single woman gets on 30th November, 2017 (14th Mangshir 2074). Dashani Devi was recommended by ward president Chaudhary as a single woman for social security allowance, but the locals said that she is married.

Dashni Devi is the wife of Hirulal Dangaura, a resident of Jaligaon. Ward president Chaudhary said that on the basis of the death certificate of Hirulal Dagoura on 8th September, 1998 (23rd Bhadra, 2055), he recommended for the allowance to be given to a single woman. However, the locals claim that Dashnidevi married Hirulal Dangaura's brother Suraj Chaudhary and had two children. Locals said that despite being aware of Dashni Devi's marriage, the ward president Chaudhary gave her the allowance as a single woman.

Ward President Chaudhary has admitted that he recommended a social security allowance based on the death registration certificate of the first husband. "Dashanidevi's first husband died, she has also submitted the death registration certificate. After the death of Hirulal Dangaura, two children were born to Dashanidevi. But there is no marriage registration, so I have recommended a single woman allowance." he said. Similarly, Ward President Chaudhary has claimed that based on the complaint of the locals, a letter has been received from the authority in this regard and a reply has been sent. He said that he will do what is appropriate based on the decision made by the authority.
