Strict action on plotting random land in Dhangadhi
Dhangadhi: In the Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city, there has been strict action on plotting random land. The sub-metropolis has strictly enforced the random land plotting to prevent fragmentation of arable land by making policy arrangements. The executive meeting of the sub-metropolis has made a policy decision to stop land plotting so that the budget of the sub-metropolis is spent only in places where basic facilities have been reached.
Gopal Hamal, mayor of the sub-metropolitan city, said that the sub-metropolitan city has decided to write to the Napi to demarcate the land only in the areas where electricity, gravel and water pipes reach the roads. "Landlords are making money and the financial burden is falling on the sub-metropolis. In such a situation, a policy has been implemented to connect rural settlements with road development and to prevent arbitrary land plotting." Mayor Hamal said.
According to the policy of discouraging arbitrarily trading and buying and selling of arable land by keeping Purana Basti as a priority for development, this kind of arrangement has been implemented. Now, land plotting is not allowed within Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city without building roads and infrastructure. Gravel roads, electricity poles and water supply lines must be mandatory while plotting land within the sub-metropolis. Here, the sub-metropolitan has made a land plotting policy to be implemented from 17th July (1st Shrawan).
Ram Giri, an agricultural entrepreneur of Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan ward number 9, says that although the sub-metropolitan's decision to stop indiscriminate land plotting is correct, he cannot be sure whether or not the farmers will get relief from this. "Looking at the potential of agriculture, work should be done to increase the production of agriculture by creating agricultural pockets." Mayor Hamal said.
