Roads in rural areas blocked in Doti
Doti: Roads in the rural areas of Doti have been blocked due to continuous rains for the past few days. Vehicles have stopped operating in those areas due to landslides and mudslides in some places. Chief of Shaileshwari Transport Authority, Prem Bahadur Rawal, informed that there is a problem in operating the rural roads due to the rains.
According to Road Division Office Dipayal Kulpate, traffic on Jorayal, Gadsera, Dipayal Napani, Bogtan, Dhurkot, Mudbhara, Naridang and Gairadhurkot roads has been blocked due to rains. It is said that the rural roads have not been brought into operation yet as the rains have not stopped. Liladhar Bista, a farmer of Jorayal-5, said that the vegetables produced by the farmers could not be taken to the market after the means of transportation were stopped.
Similarly, locals and farmers have been suffering due to road blockage due to rains. Surendra Bahadur Bohara, a local of Nirauli informed that there is a problem in transporting daily necessities to the village. The locals are panicking over the risk of floods in the rivers and streams here.
