Mayor Hamal of Dhangadhi donated his vehicle to a specialist ward clinic
Dhangadhi: Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Gopal Hamal has provided a vehicle specialist ward to the health branch to run the ward. Mayor Hamal said that he would use a private vehicle and provide a government vehicle to the health department.
As the mayor, Hamal said that he would not use any facility for personal use. He said that specialist health clinics would be run in all 19 wards every month as per the election commitment. In a ceremony, Swami Devraj Acharya handed over the vehicle to Krishna Bahadur Bohara, Chief of the Health Branch. The sub-metropolis has stated that lav service, ultrasound and ECG services will be provided free of cost along with general health check-up at specialist ward clinics.
Min Bahadur Gurung, the operator of Bhatbhateni Supermarket, has already agreed to pay the salaries and allowances of two specialist doctors required to run a specialist ward clinic in Dhangadhi Sub-metropolis.
The Ministry of Social Development has provided necessary equipment to the sub-metropolis to run health clinics. City Chief Gopal Hamal said that health camps will be set up in all wards of Dhangadhi as per the schedule from July 17.
"We are prepared to provide health care in all wards from one Consultant Physician and one Gynecologist, If we have advertised a doctor to run the clinic, the additional manpower we have will be mobilized. We have run a ward health clinic to provide health services at the homes of the people." He said that there is a plan to provide all kinds of medicines free of cost along with treatment at the ward clinic under the campaign.
