Child goes missing in river in Kanchanpur, girl found dead on Mahakali bank

Kanchanpur: A child has gone missing after being swept away in a river in Kanchanpur. Raghuvir Joshi, 13, of Jhalari in Shuklaphanta Municipality-10 has gone missing while bathing in the river.

He went missing while bathing in the river on Wednesday evening. Though clothes and slippers were found on the bank of the river, the condition of the boy is unknown, said Gyanendra Singh, Inspector at the Jhalari Area Police Office. Police Inspector Singh said that efforts were being made to find him.

Similarly, the body of a young woman has been found on the bank of Mahakali River in Bhimdatta Municipality-9. The 19-year-old woman was found dead on Wednesday.
