When does it rain in the far west ?
Dhangadhi: The Meteorological Department has said that it will take another three to four days for the monsoon to become active in the far western region.
Meteorologist at the Meteorological Department, Binu Maharjan, said that it would take some more time for rains to fall in the western part of Karnali and Lumbini provinces, including the far-western region, as monsoon winds could not enter from the east as the influence of the western wind was not weak.
"Monsoon has reached Gandaki. It is also raining in the eastern part of Lumbini. In the far west, it may take another three to four days for the monsoon to become active." He said. Maharjan said that there was no monsoon rain in the hilly districts of the far west.
