Far Western University will start medical faculty, medical college to be opened in Dadeldhura: Deuba

Dhangadhi: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the Far Western University will start teaching medical faculty from this year. Speaking at the graduation ceremony of the university, Deuba, who is also the Chancellor, made the statement.

"From this year, the university is moving ahead with the work of feasibility study and master plan for setting up a medical college in Dadeldhura, starting with a medical faculty. The Government of Nepal has also allocated the necessary budget to the Far Western University to run a medical college." Prime Minister Deuba said.

Stating that the university has provided quality education to the low and middle income students of the far west, Deuba said that it has also played an important role in producing quality manpower.

"Universities need timely educational and managerial reforms. I am hopeful that it will become the best institution in the country in the next few years." More than 300 students have been initiated in the ceremony. Similarly, 1,558 students on the 'grace list' have also been initiated.
