Oxygen Industry in Dhangadhi sells oxygen at high prices
Dhangadhi: The District Administration Office, Kailali, has sought an explanation from the owner of Oxygen Industry in Dhangadhi after complains that they were selling oxygen at high prices.
Talking to Dinesh Khabar on Sunday, Kailali Assistant Chief District Officer Hiralal Chaudhary said that he had called the industry operator to the administration office and asked for an explanation. The district administration office said that its attention had been drawn after the news came in the media and if it was confirmed that the price was higher, necessary action would be taken. Assistant Chief District Officer Chaudhary said in an oral reply that the industry operator did not charge more, however was directed to submit a written explanation.
According to Chaudhary, the District Administration Office, Kailali has also drawn the attention of the owner of Oxygen to Seti Provincial Hospital for not providing oxygen as per the agreement. He said that necessary decision will be taken in this regard after consulting the hospital. Earlier, it was reported in Dinesh Khabar that the owner of Oxygen Gas Industry was selling oxygen to the public at a high price.
The industry had said that it was charging Rs 650 for filling gas in small cylinders and Rs 1,500 for filling gas in large cylinders.
