Dhangadhi: Private hospitals in the Far-Western states have said that there is a problem in treating COVID-19 patients as the oxygen supply has been disrupted.
In a press release issued on Tuesday, the Association of Private Hospitals, Far Western Province (AFIN) said that they are facing problems in treating the patients due to lack of oxygen as the number of patients has been increasing rapidly.
Janak Raj Joshi, chairman of AFIN Far-West, said that COVID-19 patients could not be admitted without oxygen supply. “We would like to inform everyone that, if there is not enough oxygen supply, patients suffering from Coronavirus will not be admitted from today onwards," he said in a statement.
The association of private hospitals has also requested the government to make oxygen easily available. After the government hospitals were filled with patients, the private hospitals in collaboration with the state government established wards to treat patients of Coronavirus.
