Free Kamalari Development Forum Kailali submits a memorandum in Joshipur

Kailali: The Free Kamalari Development Forum Kailali has been protesting at Joshipur Rural Municipality.

The Mukta Kamalari Development Forum Municipal Committee also handed over a 10-point memorandum to the Joshipur Rural Municipality with a demand to address and resolve the problems of the Kamalari, before handing over the memorandum, they surrounded the village and chanted slogans.

They chanted slogans demanding Education, skill development training, employment opportunities, rehabilitation with land allocation, technical education, public service preparation classes, search for missing Kamalari, justice to the slain Kamalari, and a 36 months training encompassing thier demands.

Understanding the memorandum, Vidyaram Chaudhary, a member of Joshipur village council and chairman of ward no.1, said that a budget would be allocated for their training to make the Kamalaris self-reliant.

While, Muktaka Kamaiya, Muktahaliya, squatters and others are being rehabilitated, the Kamalaris have not been rehabilitated as per the agreement. The program organized by Mukta Kamalari Bikas Manch Kailali was attended by Kamalaris' of different wards of the rural municipality.
