Drinking water pipe bursts on Mohanapul-Attaria 6-lane road

Dhangadhi: The Mohanapul-Attaria 6-lane road in Dhangadhi is usually very busy.

But on Friday afternoon, a sudden gathering of locals took place after water gushed out of the ground and began overflowing on the road. It has been ascertained that a drinking water pipe laid under the road which is still under construction may have burst.

The water pipe leakage on the road near Laxmi Nursery in Chatakpur has damaged the black topping in three spots on the road. Employees of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Division Office, Kailali, said that the pipe may have leaked due to a problem in the pipe joint.

The exact reason will be known after digging, the office said. The office has started the repair work. According to the office, the repairs will be completed in a day or two.
