Kailali police increases surveillance for Dashain
The Kailali police, has come up with a special security plan for the festival. They claimed that the security has been tightened to control criminal activities during Dashain. Several police teams have been deployed in civil clothes in the areas considered sensitive from the security point of view. Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Kailali, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Prateek Bista, said that regular patrols, bicycle patrols and other forms of surveillance are being carried out. DSP Bista has urged the people to pay special attention to the security of personal property as the number of incidents of theft and smuggling is high.
Meanwhile, the traffic police have also claimed that it has been specially deployed to facilitate the movement of public transport. According to Bamdev Gautam, Chief Superintendent of Traffic Police at the Far Western Provincial Traffic Police Office, Attaria, vehicles carrying extra passengers will be brought under the ambit of action. "We have also laid special emphasis on the speed limit due to road congestion during the festive season," he said.
