Dhangadhi : The District Administration Office, Kanchanpur, has directed to remove small shops and stalls situated at the Gauriphanta checkpoint. Chief District Officer of Kanchanpur, Noor Hari Khatiwada, informed that instructions have been laid to remove the small shops to make the border systematic.

Khatiwada said that he has instructed to remove the illegallyconstructed structures to make the border system systematic and provide reliable security.

“We are thinking of moving forward with a new plan. We have demanded the removal of illegal structures as soon as possible. There have been complaints that the security arrangements are not effective. I have been informed of various illegal activities taking place there. So we are going to remove the structures to make the checkpoint more systemic,” he said.

Earlier, the District Administration Office, Kailali, had been managing the Gauriphanta checkpoint.
