36 people test positive for Coronavirus
Dhangadhi: 36 people tested positive for Coronavirus in Far-West today. Tests conducted at the laboratories of Seti Provincial Hospital, Dadeldhura Hospital and Doti Hospital confirmed the infection in 36 people today. In the last 24 hours, corona tests of 921 people have been conducted in all the three laboratories and 17 people from Baitadi, 12 from Kailali, 6 from Doti and one from Bajhang have been infected.
348 people were tested at the Dadeldhura laboratory and 19 people reported positive. According to Ishwori Prasad Bhushal, laboratory in-charge of the hospital, eight people from Dasharathchanda Municipality of Baitadi, five from Shivnath, three from Melauli and one from Dilasani tested positive. Laboratory in-charge Bhushal said that one person from Jorayal of Doti and one person from Jaya Prithvi Municipality of Bajhang were also infected.
A test conducted at Seti Provincial Hospital on Thursday confirmed corona in 12 more people. In the last 24 hours, 492 people have been tested for the virus and 12 people in Kailali have been confirmed infected.
According to Dilip Kumar Shrestha, information officer of Seti Provincial Hospital, nine people from Godawari in Kailali and three from Dhangadhi have been infected. A five-year-old girl, a 29-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man from Dhangadhi tested positive. The infection has been confirmed in a two-year-old girl, a 22-year-old woman and a 36-year-old woman of Godawari Municipality Ward No. 3 along with six other men, said Information Officer Shrestha.
In the last 24 hours, 81 people have been tested for Coronavirus in the laboratory of Doti Hospital and five of them have been confirmed infected. They are all from Doti. Laboratory in-charge Shaurabh Shrestha said that the infection was confirmed in four people of Ward No. 4 and one person of Ward No. 3 in Shikhar Municipality of the district.
At the same time, the number of infected people has reached 5,694 in Far-West. More than 4,700 people have been infected so far and there have been 14 fatalities.
