Kailali security team returns from Gauriphanta checkpoint

Dhangadhi: Shivraj Joshi, information officer at the District Administration Office in Kailali reported that a security team from Kailali had returned from Gauriphanta , though it is under the jurisdiction of Kanchanpur, the security team of Kailali has been on duty in Gauriphanta Naka and Dokebazar area so far.

Chief District Officer of Kanchanpur Nurhari Khatiwada disclosed that a security team has been deployed from Kanchanpur in Gauriphanta Naka and Dokebazar area yesterday after the Kailali team returned. 

According to information officer Shivraj Joshi, a security team from Kailali had been deployed at Mohanapul Wari while another security team from Kailali had been deployed in Gauriphanta since the checkpoint was set up.

The District Administration Office in Kanchanpur, had been pressuring not to keep Indian nationals in the Dokebazar area and to return the Kailali security team stationed in the area. Due to the deployment of security personnel from two districts on the border, those returning from India would likely face increased harassment along with multiple checks.
