A pregnant woman at Maya Metro Hospital tests positive for Coronavirus

Dhangadhi: A 19-year-old pregnant woman from Patan Municipality-3 of Baitadi who was being treated at Maya Metro Hospital tested positive for Coronavirus on Sunday, said Bhuvan Prasad Joshi. "Her swab sample was collected at Dadeldhura Hospital.

Thereafter, she was rushed to Maya Metro Hospital Dhangadhi on Saturday night as she was suffering from scrub typhus and Coronavirus. She has now been shifted to Seti Provincial Hospital", said Dr. Mohan Saud of Maya Metro Hospital.

He said that the health workers involved in the treatment of the woman are kept in isolation. According to the health department, the swabs of the infected woman's husband and her family members will be collected.

Meanwhile, Information Officer of Seti Hospital Dilip Kumar Shrestha informed Dinesh Khabar that preparations were being made to keep her in isolation.
