Coronavirus has not spread at the community level in Far-west claims the state government

Dhangadhi: The nine people who died of Coronavirus in the region had a travel history. Four people who died due to Coronavirus in Kailali had a travel history too.

The state government has claimed that Coronavirus has not spread at the community level.

The Ministry of Social Development of the state has been saying that the infection can be considered to have spread at the community level only if an infection is seen in a person without any travel details.

Chief of the Health Division at the Ministry of Social Development, Narendra Karki said that the infection has not spread at the community level and a study will be conducted to ascertain the issue.

All those infected with the virus in the state either returned from India or the affected areas. However, no study or necessary analysis has been conducted so far.

Dr. Sher Bahadur Kumar, head of the COVID-19 treatment department at the Seti Provincial Hospital, suggests that necessary security measures should be taken to prevent the spread of the infection at the community level.

A person was found infected with the Coronavirus for the first time in Far-West in March. However, it has been suggested to be vigilant as the risk of infection has increased after the lockdown was lifted and the movement of people started.
