Landslide displaces 35 families in Doti

Doti: A landslide in Sayal Municaplity-2, Bhurkela in the western part of the district has displaced 35 households. According to the police post, they were displaced due to landslide in the ward. According to Deepak Bahadur Khadka, a local, the villagers have left their houses and pitched a tent at Aglodanda as the village is at risk of landslides due to continuous rains. He said, "The villagers have left the village for a safe place for fear of landslides due to continuous rains for the past few days." According to the locals, after the landslide displaced the families of the village, they have been gathering in one place on the hill above the village and staying awake all night. Another local, Tej Dumrel, said that the landslides has caused panic among the locals. The locals have demanded that the villagers be shifted to a safe place as a landslide could occur at any time. They are now at high risk of landslides and are forced to set up tents outside on hills.
