Far West releases 3,046 recovered, 1637 'active cases'

Dhangadhi: Another 36 corona recoverd discharged on Saturday from various hospitals in the Far-West and isolation made at the local level.

Narendra Karki, chief of the health division at the state's social development ministry, told a regular press briefing on Saturday that 20 people from Bajhang, 15 from Achham and 1 from Baitadi had been discharged.

At the same time, the number of people returning home free of corona infection has reached 3,046 in the far west. According to the Ministry of Social Development, 556 people have been discharged from Achham, 537 from Doti, 530 from Kailali, 483 from Kanchanpur, 300 from Baitadi and 267 from Dadeldhura.

Two hundred and fifty-three recovered people have been discharged from Bajura, one hundred and seven from Bajhang and 13 from Darchula. In the Far-West, the number of active cases is 1,637. Nine infected people have died in the state.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the number of infected people in the Far West has reached 4,692.
