Fugitive man arrested in Kailali

Dhangadhi: A man who was charged with a rape case and was missing has been arrested in Kailali. According to the District Police Office of Kailali, Visre Chaudhary, 34, of Bhajani Municipality-9 has been arrested after nine years.

Chaudhary had been missing since October 21, 2010, after abusing a 26-year-old woman. He was sentenced to six years in imprisonment by the Kailali District Court on April 30, 2014.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Pratik Bista said that he was arrested on July 27 and was sent for trial on 29 July.
