1417 corona patients discharged from farwest, only 79 hospitalized

Dhangadhi: A total number of 1417 people who tested positive for corona virus have been discharged from various hospitals and local isolation centres in the far west.

On Sunday, Narendra Karki, chief of the health division at the state's social development ministry, told a regular press briefing that 1,417 corona patients were discharged. 134 corona patients were discharged from Kanchanpur, Dadeldhura and Achham on Sunday, said Karki.

According to him, 71 people from Dadeldhura, 52 from Achham and 11 from Kanchanpur have been discharged. At the same time, the number of discharges in the state has reached 1,417.

 So far 3,920 people have tested positive for corona virus in the Far West state as reported by the Ministry of Health and Population. 8 patients have died  and  currently there are 2,449 active cases, amongst which 79 infected patients are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the state.

The highest number of 39 patients are being treated at Tikapur Hospital, 18 at Mahakali Hospital, 10 at District Hospital Achham, 7 at Seti Provincial Hospital, 3 at Malakheti Hospital and 2 at District Hospital Doti, according to the Health Directorate.
