The body of an infant was found in the Machheli river of Kanchanpur

Dhangadhi: The body of a baby has been found in the Machheli River in Kanchanpur. The body of the newborn girl was found in the surrounding sand near Machheli River in Vani of Krishnapur Municipality Ward No. 2 of the district, the police reported.

Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police Amar Bahadur Thapa said that the body of the newborn baby was found covered with sand in Machheli River on Saturday and that an investigation was underway as it was not clear who the baby belonged to.
