The lockdown and closure of the border started on Chait 10th and many Nepalese stranded in Gaurifanta demanded entry to Nepal with buses to drop them to their respective villages. The situation got intense as the mob began to throw stones at the police personnel and the cabinet decided to meet their demands. Therefore, the police drove 999 people in 21 different buses to different places. While a 21-year-old man from Lamki amongst the 999 people has been found infected with Coronavirus, he was present around 22 others from Dhangadhi that were supposed to be quarantined for 14 days. However, none of those 22 followed the ordered quarantine and were, in fact, sent home before 14 days, putting hundreds of others at risk.
